The newly built Chengdu EMU Depot maintenance facility is located in Chenghua District of Chengdu City, surrounded by former Chengdu East marshalling yard, EMU service workshop storage I, and existing Chengyu railway. It covers an area of approximately 639,333 m², with railway track laying of 17.38 km, 19 turnouts, and building of 92,300m².

1. Maintenance capacity: The solution is designed for maintenance of 300 trains (8 rolling stocks each).

2. Scope of maintenance: It is designed for level 3, level 4, and level 5 maintenance for CRH2 model EMU, and it can accommodate level 3 maintenance for CRH1 model EMU. Design and construction of bogie maintenance workshop is based on level 3, level 4, and level 5 maintenance.

3. Construction scale: There are 4 service static shunting tracks, 2 level-3 maintenance depot tracks (with 2 more tracks reserved), 3 maintenance depot tracks, 1 rolling stock purging track, 1 test track, and 1 running track, as well as 2 more reserved tracks for unmarshalling and dismantling. Axis dimension (Length × width) of bogie maintenance workshop is 468m ×(15m+24m+24m+21m) and its design and construction is based on level 3 and level 4 maintenance. CHSR integrates wheel brake disc maintenance line & information system, axle gearbox maintenance line & information system, frame maintenance line & information system, as well as key equipment for bogie and wheel & axle maintenance.
